In regards to analyse and interpret the sources of the particular time of our project, there is a need to shed some light on the broader political situation of the areas our acteurs were living in. The main sincerely known acteur of our project, Rashi, lived and travelled in the parts of Champaigne and Rhineland, which each of them belonged to a different political area.
